You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, helping our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. Location: 3554 South Dixie Hwy, Dalton, GA 30720
The working schedule is 2nd shift; off days are Sunday & Wednesday.
Main Responsibilities
Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires, lubricating components, replacing parts, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Basic computer skills.
Must understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
Must adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct selection and use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requires driving Penske and customer vehicles; regulated by DOT and requires a current driver qualification file (MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History, etc.). CDL holders must provide DOT drug screening within 30 days of start.
Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete Penske employment application, background screening, and pass drug screen and physical as required by DOT.
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate tools or controls.
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
Must see and hear to navigate workspace safely.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; also push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
