JoCo
The Lead Pipeline Mapper will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end mapping process for pipeline infrastructure projects. This position requires a highly technical and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership abilities and deep expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro. The role emphasizes collaboration, data integrity, and continuous improvement in mapping workflows.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage pipeline mapping projects to meet deadlines and regulatory standards
Produce detailed mapping documents using Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro
Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and GIS professionals to validate data accuracy
Maintain and oversee mapping databases to ensure up-to-date project records
Identify and implement improvements in mapping and GIS procedures
Mentor new staff on mapping tools, quality control, and project standards
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to relay project updates and address challenges
Requirements
Background in civil engineering, surveying, or a related field (10 years preferred)
Extensive experience in pipeline surveying, drafting, and GIS mapping
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with database management and permitting processes is a plus
