Long-term contract with strong potential for permanent conversion Seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lead Pipeline Mapper with proven experience in pipeline mapping, surveying, and drafting. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro, and have a strong background in database management and surveying for pipeline projects. This leadership role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to quality and efficiency in delivering mapping solutions for pipeline infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate pipeline mapping projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and meet municipal and client requirements. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro to produce accurate alignment sheets, plat exhibits, permit drawings, and mapping documentation for pipeline routes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, surveying, and GIS departments, to gather and verify data for pipeline mapping. Manage and maintain pipeline mapping databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for project stakeholders. Oversee and implement process improvements for survey, mapping, and GIS workflows, including periodic reviews and updates to organizational standards. Establish best practices for data collection and mapping, leveraging technology to improve workflow efficiency and track project metrics. Train and mentor new team members in mapping standards, software usage, and quality control procedures. Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications
10 years of Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, and ArcGIS Pro. Strong background in pipeline surveying, mapping, and drafting. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Experience in process improvement and standardization of mapping workflows. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred
Experience with GIS database management and integration. Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and pipeline regulatory requirements. Seniority level
