Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Overview

Title: Electrician & Industrial Technician (Intermediate Level)

Reports to: Maintenance and OHS Manager

Location: Kent, WA – onsite

Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift; ability to work overtime and weekend support.

Shift Details: 1st shift (Mon‑Fri 6:00‑14:30), 2nd shift (Mon‑Fri 14:00‑22:30), 3rd shift (Sun‑Fri 22:00‑06:30).

Salary Range: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level).

Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment using preventive and proactive maintenance practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting, along with general mechanical skills. We're looking for someone who is coachable and eager to learn the unique aspects of our facility and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on production and facility equipment across multiple disciplines (electrical, PLC, mechanical, plumbing).

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, sensors, and control circuits.

Assist with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming adjustments.

Conduct preventive maintenance and document work in CMMS software.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders accurately.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Build racks using appropriate metal for processing parts through chemical tanks.

Report faulty operations or unusual conditions promptly.

Support productivity initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to diagnose problems and develop practical solutions.

Basic experience with PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley or similar).

General mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps).

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Regular, dependable attendance and ability to pass background/drug screening.
