Production Assembler- CNC Machinist

The
Production Assembler
is a key contributor to keeping operations running smoothly at
Thermcraft in Winston‑Salem . This role supports multiple areas of the production floor, ensuring materials and projects flow efficiently throughout the facility. The Assembler will gain hands‑on experience with a wide range of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes while working alongside skilled team members. Essential Functions
Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Assist as an apprentice/assistant in various departments across the production floor.
Support team projects and contribute to overall production goals.
Work flexibly in different areas of the plant based on production needs.
Use general hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, cutting tools, and table saws.
Accurately read and use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
Follow all quality and safety rules, ensuring compliance with company standards.
(Preferred) Assist with or operate CNC router equipment.
Uphold and adhere to Thermcraft’s core values in daily work.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th.
Ability to read blueprints; familiarity with schematics is a plus (willing to train).
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
Flexible and willing to work where needed as production demands shift.
Willingness to learn additional jobs in other departments.
Willingness to be trained and certified on a forklift.Commitment to following quality, safety, and company guidelines.
Physical Requirements
Sit, stand, bend, and climb ladders daily.
Lift at least 50 pounds infrequently.
Ability to wear a dust mask or breathing respirator while performing some job tasks.
