Who We Are Reporting to the F&B General Manager, the Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between the front‑of‑house and service teams. The Host will maintain cleanliness in the entry and dining areas, assist with table setups, and support the team in delivering exceptional hospitality.

The Role The Restaurant Host ensures guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This person will manage the flow of the dining room, maintain accurate wait times, and communicate effectively with guests and staff to ensure a seamless experience.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to all guest comments and concerns; escape issues to a supervisor and assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Warmly greet guests upon arrival, provide menus, and create a welcoming experience.
Seat guests at tables or designated waiting areas, ensuring comfort and efficiency.
Assign tables based on guest preferences, party size, and operational flow.
Inspect dining and serving areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and proper setup standards.
Engage with guests during their visit to confirm satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
Manage and record dining reservations and waitlists accurately.
Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff, management, and servers to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Inform guests about daily specials, featured menu items, and restaurant offerings.
Direct guests to appropriate waiting areas, such as lounges, when necessary.
Operate point‑of‑sale systems to process payments for food and beverages (if applicable).
Prepare and reconcile cash receipts at the end of shifts (if applicable).
Supervise and coordinate host team activities to ensure prompt, courteous service.
Assist in onboarding and training new hosts to uphold service standards.
Support planning and execution of special events and functions as needed.
Qualifications
Six months of related experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
