2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician – starting wage $31.05/hr with a $2/hr shift premium.
Job Requirements The Maintenance Technician will support production and quality of product by ensuring the efficient operating of packaging and conveyor equipment through daily maintenance and preventative maintenance. Hours: 1st shift is from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime is about 10 hours a week consistently and is typically worked after the shift ends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete preventive maintenance requirements on motors, gearboxes, conveying systems, packaging, and various other production equipment.
Troubleshoot various mechanical devices visually and by listening to determine the source of the problem.
Fabricate materials using shop tools (e.g., welder, brake, plasma, lathe, and other tools).
Follow all safety requirements inside and outside the plant.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
Other Experience and Qualifications
1‑2 years Industrial Maintenance Experience.
Electrical experience a plus.
Proven strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and comprehend diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturing instructions for equipment and building.
Ability to operate boom lift, forklifts, skid‑steer, hoists, come‑along tools, and an assortment of powered hand tools.
Able to determine system capacity and sizing of parts using various tools (e.g., caliper, micrometer, tachometer, and other measuring instruments).
Physical Requirements
Lifting up to 50 pounds.
Work at elevated levels of 40 to 200 feet.
Bend, push/pull, squat, reach, grip, grab, and hold various products, packaging and tools.
Perform repetitive motions for assigned tasks.
Work in various temperatures including extreme heat, humidity and cold.
Work in an environment containing dust and potential allergens, and smells.
Stand for duration of shift.
