Position Summary
Under general supervision repairs, installs, adjusts, monitors, and maintains building HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems and performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks of the hospital building systems. Performs work to conform to quality standards and municipal codes. Leads projects and teams ensuring work is completed as scheduled.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoots electrical, electronic (including analog and digital), pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
Performs operator and preventive maintenance, as specified by manufacturers, on equipment and systems including electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical; varies preventive maintenance intervals dictated by monitored failure rates.
Performs simple, and as complete repairs of equipment and systems, as appropriate.
Researches, interprets and applies local, as well as manufacturer’s technical data; reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
Maintains appropriate work records for compliance with regulations such as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, State-wide Health Care Planning and Development Office, and National Fire Protection Agency.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of related experience.
Valid state driver's license.
Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.
