Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership – familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures
Assist Service Advisor in test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems. Know how to use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
Ability to identify the problem quickly
Good knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
High School Diploma or GED
Technical degree preferred
ASE certifications preferred
Minimum of 2 years in service department
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic Computer Skills
Positive, friendly attitude
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Pass a Background, Drug and MVR Check
