Position Overview
Element Food Solutions LLC is looking to fill Industrial Maintenance Technician positions in Hodgkins, Illinois. This is a temporary, full-time peak load position with 4 job openings for employment from April 1, 2026, to October 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, test and maintain assigned electrical, mechanical and electromechanical production equipment to ensure product meets quality and customer specifications. Monitor all systems during plant operations.
Repair and maintain production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Operate equipment during testing periods, determine reasons for machine failures, correct issues and inspect parts to determine dimensional changes.
Repair or replace defective parts, install special functional and structural parts in devices, lubricate and clean parts, and set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electrical and electronic devices and systems. Test equipment to check operation, repair electrical equipment, and analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment.
Plan for and take corrective action, test equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime, perform work requiring knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutes codes, properties of materials, and principles of operation of equipment.
Make preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor, and take appropriate action. Perform daily data log entries and constantly monitor efficiency and results in manufacturing software platform.
Monitor maintenance email for updates on maintenance activities, notify department peers and supervisors of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective actions taken, quality issues or supplies needed.
Ensure equipment is repaired to manufacturer specifications, communicate in writing pending activities to the next shift Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor and Manager.
Drive the development and implementation of maintenance improvement processes aimed at improving overall equipment reliability and availability. Complete assigned PMs and work orders by due date.
Provide daily updates on corrective and preventive work on database and monitor production processes to detect potential problems.
Terms and Conditions of Employment
Pay : $38.02 per hour, 40 hrs./wk. Overtime available at a rate of at least $5703 per hour.
Inbound Transportation : From the worker’s place of origin to the place of employment, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and lodging as necessary). This applies if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period.
Outbound Transportation : Upon completion of the work contract or early dismissal, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of transportation and subsistence back home or to the original departure location, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at the rate of $92.00 per day with receipts.
Guaranteed Hours : The employer guarantees work for hours equal to at least three quarters of the workdays.
Tools and Equipment : The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.
Training : The employer will provide on-the-job training in proper industrial maintenance procedures.
Wages : Workers will be paid weekly by direct deposit or check on Friday. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will reimburse H‑2B workers for visa, processing, border crossing, and other related fees in the first work week.
