Job Family Description Maintenance/production personnel support the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, buildings, systems, and shops. Professionals in these roles are responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and production processes to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Discipline Description Maintenance support personnel provide assistance and coordination for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. They may perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including inspection and repair, manage inventory, and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards. They may perform routine calibrations of equipment and instruments to support facility operations and monitoring. They may perform shop fabrication and machining of equipment to support facility operations.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspection and repair.

Manage inventory to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards.

Perform routine calibrations of equipment and instruments.

Perform shop fabrication and machining of equipment to support facility operations.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential.

Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered.

Completed ACT WorkKeys Skills assessment with minimum scores of 2 in Workplace Observation, 3 in Graphic Literacy, 4 in Applied Technology or equivalent WIN Assessments.

Test scores within the last five years; official documentation required; results uploaded to BrassRing.

We'd Also Like to See

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Machine Technology, General Technology, or equivalent.

Four years of related experience/training equivalent to qualification standards.

Industrial Maintenance Associate or related maintenance experience.

Security Clearance Information Pre-employment drug and alcohol test, background review, and DOE L or Q-level security clearance required for U.S. citizenship. Factors such as background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid or unfiled taxes may impact clearance.
