Job Overview As a Welder 1, you will be responsible for fabricating metal structures and components using various welding techniques, working from blueprints and technical drawings to produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to join metal components.
Weld in various positions, including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
Adjust welding equipment settings to achieve desired weld quality.
Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools and equipment.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
Ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
Identify and correct welding defects.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties, as assigned.
Education & Experience Required
0-3 years of welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail.
Manual dexterity.
Basic math skills.
Ability to use measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in various positions, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and working overhead.
Stay up-to-date on the latest welding techniques and technologies.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.
Identify and troubleshoot welding problems.
