Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning components.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment safely and effectively.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with welding equipment and processes.
Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and equipment.
AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certifications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Experience with various metal types (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with advanced welding processes (e.g., robotic welding, laser welding).
Proficiency in fabricating and fitting metal components prior to welding.
Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes.
Knowledge of basic quality inspection techniques and common weld defect identification.
Experience welding exotic materials such as stainless steel or aluminum.
