Machine Operator II – 1st Shift Location: Reno, NV – Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division.

Core hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Hourly pay: $22.00 per hour. Salary is a general guideline; final pay depends on skills, experience, and market.

What You’ll Do

Proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.

Troubleshoot various machinery problems.

Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.

QC and document all parts run on machines.

Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.

Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.

Keep work areas clean and safe.

Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications

No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV (Active‑Duty Military Service members exempt).

Candidate must not require immigration sponsorship; Eaton will not support CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Six (6)+ months of experience with forming or bending machines.

Six (6)+ months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.

Experience confirming parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Success Criteria

Operate machinery and presses safely.

Read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.

Identify different gauges and types of raw material.

Read tape measure, scales, and calipers accurately.

Work effectively and productively as a member of a team with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

Stand on feet continuously during the working shift.

Lift and bend on a continuous basis.Regularly lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Working Conditions

Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open.

Fast paced work while maintaining safety priorities.
