Description POSITION SUMMARY

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weld-able materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welds in all positions with MIG and TIG (steel, stainless steel, and copper). Arc welds any material commercially weld-able. Works from blueprints and shop drawings. Maintaining current individual qualifications to applicable Retech workmanship standards. Be an active team member in the manufacturing plant and assist other employees. Other tasks as given by supervisor or manager. Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able to layout jobs with minimal supervision. Able to drive forklifts. Able to use overhead cranes. Has knowledge of rigging. Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent. 2-5 years of welding experience. Personal Skills/Attributes required for the Position

Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers. Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail. Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Special skills could include but are not limited to the ability to weld exotic metals, hard face copper, brass, copper to steel, stainless steel, and weld aluminum and alloy steels. Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear and talk. The employee is frequently required to use hands. The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
