Job Summary
The CNC Mill Operator is a skilled hands‑on role responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machines to produce high‑precision parts.
Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling machines to execute machining operations accurately and efficiently.
Load and secure raw materials onto the machine and select appropriate cutting tools.
Start and stop machine cycles, closely monitoring the process and making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results.
Set up or program the computer controlling the machinery, utilizing familiarity with CNC programming, CAD, and CAM software.
Quality Control & Inspection
Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
Use precision measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to measure and verify parts, ensuring they meet exact specifications and tight tolerances.
Inspect machinery and finished products for quality assurance throughout the production run.
Maintenance, Safety & Compliance
Perform routine checks and basic daily maintenance on the machinery.
Identify and replace worn‑out cutting tools and keep equipment clean and well‑maintained.
Follow all company and safety requirements and maintain relevant certifications.
Handle materials appropriately and safely throughout the manufacturing process.
Record‑Keeping
Document production output, quality inspections, and any operational issues or adjustments that arise.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or a similar role in a precision manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
Familiarity with CNC machinery and computer programming.
Experience with CAD and CAM software is highly desirable.

Strong quality and safety mindset, prioritizing both in all aspects of work.
Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and perform necessary adjustments efficiently.

Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods and perform manual labor as required.
Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
