Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Tucker, Georgia.

Hourly Pay: $30.50 per hour. Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter. Sign On Bonus: $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at 90 days. Schedule: Monday‑Saturday with one day during the week off. Hours: First Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Vocational or Technical Certification desirable.

Basic tools required.

Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines (routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics, AC & electrical systems).

Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.

All other certifications required by location.

Minimum of 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑ and medium‑duty equipment.

Computer skills (PC, Windows).

Will need to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance.

Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.

Complete detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision.

Replace defective components as instructed.

Work unsupervised on most tasks and perform facility maintenance duties.

Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.

Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation.

Comply with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines.

Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.

Access and use internal and external maintenance documents.

Support operations and Service Island duties as required.

Complete SBTIII training within 180 days and OEM online diagnostic scan tool courses as required.
