Electro/Mechanical Assembler
– Fully onsite
Position Summary Thales is looking for an Electro/Mechanical Assembler who is responsible for fabricating, assembling, rebuilding, inspecting, and testing cable & harness assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies, cabinets, and related reworks.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and detailed instructions for fabrication, inspection, and testing.
Create and revise technical instructions as needed; support Manufacturing Engineering activities upon request.
Perform mechanical assembly of cables, cable harnesses, cabinet assemblies, and related sub‑assemblies using hand tools.
Lay and lace wires on a harness fixture, cut, strip, and tin wires for subsequent assembly steps.
Apply appropriate markings to parts using inks, stencils, and silkscreen techniques; conduct rework following specific procedures.
Hand solder electrical components onto PCBs in accordance with specifications and drawings.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with technical/vocational education in electronics and communications, or five (5) years of experience assembling complex electrical/mechanical components.
Proficiency with wire cutters, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, torque tools, sockets, soldering iron, solder pots, silkscreen, drills, crimpers, rivet machine, OHM meter, wire stripper, and oven; ability to read schematics and instructions.
Pass IPC and/or J STD certification course or a willingness to obtain certification.
Ability to perform complex tasks and provide technical guidance with limited or no supervision; strong numerical and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined under applicable law, and authorized to access ITAR and/or EAR controlled data.
Special Position Requirements
Schedule: Specify core work hours (e.g., 7 AM–3 PM, Monday‑Friday). Options include 9/80 or 5/40 work schedules.
Physical environment: Manufacturing/Production area, warehouse.
Travel: Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Compensation: Total Target Compensation (TTC) range includes annual base salary and variable target: USD 54,776.00 – 88,803.13 per year.
