Job Summary This Carpenter position is responsible for performing carpentry assessments, maintenance, and repairs on both historic and non-historic structures while ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. The role includes accurate documentation of work in the CMMS system, proper tool and equipment management, and maintaining a safe, cooperative work environment. It also requires knowledge of OSHA standards and the ability to estimate and requisition materials effectively.

$23.70 - $24.35/hour

Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Ensure proper work methods and products are used on historic and non‑historic structures.
Work safely and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with current building codes.
Accurately document labor & materials in CMMS for work performed in accordance with established company procedures.
Perform all assignments as directed—ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
Estimate and requisition job‑related materials.
Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Safeguard the care, maintenance and security of all assigned equipment and tools.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure proper PPE is used correctly.
Maintain a spirit of cooperation within the departments and throughout the property.
Qualifications
Knowledge and proper application of various grades and types of wood and other building materials.
Proficient in using tools common to the carpentry trade, including power tools and their maintenance.
Working knowledge of all building codes and standards.
Interpersonal skills required to communicate (verbal & written) at all levels.
Self‑motivating, able to work independently with limited supervision, and willing to work off‑hours when required.
At least 21 years old and possess a current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record for the past 3 years.
Carpentry experience.
Physical Requirements include
May require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
Walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all weather conditions.
Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling for extended periods of time.
