Shift Options:
2nd Shift:
2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (+$2.00/hr differential)
Training will take place on 1st shift for several weeks.
The Role (Read This First — It Matters)
This is
not
a production machining role.
You’ll be working alongside Engineering to
build and maintain tooling, fixtures, and quality-check fixture s used throughout an in-house manufacturing operation. If your background is strictly pushing the green button on high-volume production parts, this won’t be the right fit. If you like solving problems, setting machines up correctly, and making tooling that other machinists rely on—welcome home.
What You’ll
Do Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple CNC machines
Work from engineering drawings, setup instructions, and tool lists
Build, install, and remove fixtures, vises, and tooling accurately and safely
Perform routine tooling setup and maintenance (drills, end mills, taps, reamers, etc.)
Calibrate probes, tool setters, and other CNC setup equipment
Adjust tool offsets, work offsets, and part rotation as needed
Perform basic CNC program troubleshooting
Prepare material using shop equipment (band saw, surface grinder, etc.)
Maintain CNC machines (coolant, cleaning, filters, general upkeep)
Machine precision tooling and fixtures accurately and on schedule
Operate all equipment safely and professionally
What We’re Looking For
Associate degree in Machining OR 4–5+ years of hands‑on machining experience
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and shop math
Experience with CNC setup, not just operation
Owns and knows how to use basic machinist tools: Calipers, Micrometers, Test indicators
Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting skills
Willingness to obtain forklift and hoist certification (employer‑provided training)
Union position
