We are a growing business and a leader in our industry. The role is based at our corporate office/distribution facility in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Position Automotive Equipment Mechanic
Compensation $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties The Automotive Equipment Technician will work on tire changers, balancers, lifts, alignment racks, and other types of equipment used in automotive facilities. Duties include equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement. Basic automotive knowledge is a plus but is not required. The position may require travel and some overnight stays.
Qualifications
Experience working on various types of equipment (automotive equipment experience is a plus)
Strong mechanical/electrical background as demonstrated by previous experience
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license with a Class E endorsement
Own own hand tools
Able to work a minimum of five days a week, including Saturdays

Working Conditions and Physical Demands The Automotive Equipment Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and be able to walk to access various areas of the building
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands
Lift and/or move up to 10 lb regularly, 70 lb frequently
Communicate with customers and shop personnel
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus
