Salary: $20.00–$30.00 (per hour).
Position Overview As a skilled machinist, you will repair and build products with precision, following blueprints, work orders, and instructions to ensure top-quality results. Using a variety of machining techniques and shop equipment, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of tools essential to the trade. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, technical expertise, and a willingness to adapt to project demands.

Group 1 Equipment: Manual Lathe - Vertical, Manual Lathe - Horizontal, Manual Mill - Vertical, Manual Boring Mill - Horizontal
Group 2 Equipment: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill
Group 3 Skills: Surface Grinder, Drill Press, Balancing
Group 4 Skills: Spray Welding, Line Boring
Machinist Levels
Machinist I – Entry Level to Proficient in operating 1 piece from Group 1 or Group 2 Equipment
Machinist II – Advanced ability to operate (2) pieces of Group 1 Equipment or Group 2 Equipment
Machinist III – Advanced ability to operate all Group 1 Equipment, advanced ability to operate at least 1 piece from Group 2 Equipment, and be proficient in Group 3 Skills
Machinist IV – Advanced ability to operate all Group 1 Equipment, all Group 2 Equipment, and be proficient in Group 3 and Group 4 skills
What You'll Do
Safely and efficiently operate assigned equipment
Read, understand, and accurately execute work orders and quality assurance (QA) standards per job requirements
Facilitate setups and changeovers within machine capacities
Secure work pieces and operate stops and guides for proper alignment
Monitor machine functions during operation to ensure accurate output within tolerance requirements
Perform quality checks during production to ensure part/piece meets tolerance requirements
Working Conditions
Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
Stand for extended periods of time
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Perform duties indoors in a shop setting with occasional work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
