Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Our client, a personal injury law firm, is seeking a trial paralegal to assist their legal team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate has ample experience drafting legal documents and is knowledgeable with Injury Law in New York State.
Salary Range:
$75,000 – $95,000
Responsibilities
Assist with all stages of litigation, including investigation, discovery, settlements, and appeals
Draft discovery documents, including Bills of Particulars, interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
Draft discovery demands; assist with e-discovery; maintain discovery indexes; organize case files; manage discovery deadlines
Draft settlement agreements and releases
Draft Summons and Complaints, including conducting defendant investigations (property ownership, police reports for MVA cases); coordinate service
File documents via NYSCEF
Draft Notices of Commencement of Action and prepare/file Notices of Claim
Draft default letters, stipulations for extensions of time
Required Qualifications
Strong writing and analytical skills, with prior litigation experience
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Studies certificate, or equivalent legal training
3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in trial-focused or personal injury practice
Proficiency with NYSCEF and legal case-management software
Strong understanding of New York civil procedure and personal injury litigation
Working knowledge of statutes, deadlines, and filing requirements in PI case
