Under general direction from the Director, Clinician Contracts, the Paralegal I will work closely with attorneys, healthcare professionals, operations leaders, paralegals, and administrative support staff to provide legal, administrative and related support integral to the organization's operations. The individual will serve as one of the subject matter experts for hygienist and associate dentist employment agreements, their associated workflows within the clinician contracting and recruiting teams, and other related contracts, matters, and systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and facilitate the issuance of clinician employment agreements and related documents (e.g., addenda, letter agreements, correspondence) for attorney or paralegal review and approval, a process that includes identifying appropriate forms and formats, inserting pertinent language, proofreading, and processing certain documents through the department’s contract management software system.

Assist Clinician Contracting team and others in the Legal department on various administrative tasks and projects as needed.

Manage files and documents, including coordinating with executives, operations partners, field personnel, dental practice owners, compiling supporting documentation/records, tracking, and expediting agreement completion.

Provide information and support to other departments and the field for dentists and registered dental hygienists.

Assist Recruiting with contract questions and Docusign Contract Lifecycle Management software ("Docusign CLM") and questions or issues.

Propose process improvements by conducting analysis and evaluating effectiveness of reports and databases.

Perform research as assigned by attorneys, paralegals, or other managers.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in the related field, paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program. In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in drafting contracts or other corporate legal instruments, familiarity with basic contract structures and employment terminology, researching professional licenses for status with state and federal agencies.

Basic understanding of or familiarity with corporate entities and related terminology and structure.

Ability and willingness to work in-person in Irvine, CA.

Preferred

Familiarity with Salesforce, Box, DocuSign CLM, eSignature, and/ Smartsheet.
