In-House Paralegal at IES Residential
Location: Sugar Land, TX (US-TX-Sugar Land).
Salary: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00.
About the Role We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our in‑house Legal team. In this role, you’ll support a wide range of legal matters—including contracts, litigation, and compliance—and play a key part in keeping our operations accurate and running smoothly. You’ll work closely with attorneys and cross‑functional partners while gaining hands‑on experience across multiple legal disciplines. Responsibilities
Contracts:
Assist with reviewing and editing agreements.
Track key dates, deadlines, and contractual obligations.
Litigation:
Support attorneys with case preparation, discovery, legal research, and document management.
Organize and maintain litigation files and materials.
Compliance:
Support ongoing compliance programs and policy updates.
Monitor regulatory changes and assist with implementation needs.
General Legal Support:
Maintain legal files, databases, and calendars.
Serve as a resource to attorneys and the broader legal team.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies (required).
Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
1‑2 years of experience in a legal setting (internship experience counts).
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal or contract management software is a plus.
Minimum Education: Associate’s degree.
Minimum Years of Experience: 0‑2.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitive motions (e.g., typing, data entry).
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, scanner).
