Work Location: In-Person/Hybrid Schedule: M‑F Job Type: Full‑time, hourly Salary: Beginning at $65,000 (based upon experience)
Responsibilities
Creates and maintains provider communication
Creates and maintains carrier communication
Reviews cases from various stages (receipt, treatment, demand, settlement)
Maintains the medical management of pre‑suit clients
Conducts a detailed review of the medical records of clients
Draft correspondence to medical providers, insurance carriers, and clients, including but not limited to demands and civil remedy notices
Negotiates settlements with insurance carriers
Manages all medical bill reductions from providers
Manages all post‑settlement requirements, including but not limited to reviewing closing statements, reviewing final balances, and lien updates, for all pre‑suit cases
Documents all communications in the case management system
Completes administrative duties as requested, e.g., scanning, paper, and electronic file maintenance and organization, notarization, formatting, printing, and assembly of documents
Ensures that deadlines set by the department are met by the team
Manages all pre‑suit cases with the assigned pre‑suit attorney
Requests Google Reviews
Maintains all department trackers/goals/metrics spreadsheets as they relate to the pre‑suit department
Qualifications
Excellent problem‑solving skills to proactively anticipate and resolve issues and bring to the supervising attorney’s attention, if appropriate
Self‑motivated and able to work independently
Resourceful, responsive, and adaptable
Displays a professional and personable attitude in all facets of the law office environment, is pleasant, cordial, and courteous, with a common goal in mind
Respect and discretion for confidential and sensitive information
Ability to empathize/sympathize with clients and potential new clients
Efficiently following through on completing tasks by deadlines
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Analyze recurring problems and apply appropriate solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and all internal software programs
Able to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Education, Training and Experience
Required:
2 years of pre‑litigation experience
2 years of experience in Personal Injury or other injury‑related practice areas
Strong drafting and writing skills
Familiarity with legal specifics related to the firm’s areas of law
Proficient in technology & software, including databases
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
2+ years of experience in Personal Injury or other injury‑related practice areas
Experience with Filevine and LeadDocket
Compensation $65,000 per year
