With over 142 miles of Yellowstone's grand loop, the Transportation Department has the important responsibility of taking guests and deliveries where they need to go.
Job Summary As part of the transportation team, you're given the amazing opportunity to share the wonders of Yellowstone's greater ecosystem with our guests! This job involves safely operating company equipment in diverse weather conditions and driving for up to 10 hours daily while maintaining professionalism during challenging situations. Responsibilities include loading luggage, providing guest service and interpretive commentary about Yellowstone National Park, leading guided walks, ensuring punctuality, completing required documentation, and representing the company positively. The role also requires a neat appearance, flexibility in assisting with various duties, and may include frequent overnight stays at different facilities both in and outside of the park.
The Details Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: Early April 2026 to Late October 2026 Pay: $26.25/hourly Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles in various weather and road conditions for up to 10 hours daily
Provide professional, courteous guest service and maintain a positive company image
Deliver knowledgeable commentary on Yellowstone National Park's features and history
Lead guided walks and keep tours on schedule
Handle luggage loading/unloading and maintain a neat appearance in uniform
Complete required documents and reports accurately and promptly
Assist with various duties including step-on guiding, bus washing, and other guest services
Be prepared for frequent overnight stays at facilities inside and outside the park
Qualifications
21 years of age and possess a Class B, Type 1, Commercial Driver’s License with no Air Brake Restrictions and have a Passenger Endorsement
Must possess current 1st Aid/CPR certifications (training provided)
Clean driving record
Communicate effectively through speech and hearing
Good reading and comprehension skills to research tour information
Ability to organize information about Yellowstone National Park into an interpretive thematic tour
Judgment and leadership to keep your tour on a semblance of a schedule
Physical Requirements include:
Must meet all DOT physical requirements and pass a DOT physical exam
Pass all DOT required Drug and Alcohol Screens
Able to walk up to a mile several times each day at elevations ranging from 5,300 feet to 10,500 feet above sea level
Simultaneously steer a vehicle, shift its transmission, operate clutch, accelerator, and brake pedals, and provide interpretive commentary while driving in heavy traffic
Able to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. simultaneously and repeatedly
Withstand up to 10 hours of consecutive driving on rough and/or icy roads
Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from -60 to +100 degrees Fahrenheit)
