Palliative Care Physician – Full Time

Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week | day shift
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is seeking a
Palliative Care Physician
to support its Palliative Care Department. This role provides inpatient and outpatient consultations, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, supports education and teaching initiatives, and contributes to program development and community outreach.
Qualifications: Board certified in an ABMS-recognized specialty Board certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine or equivalent experience Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license One year experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Minimum of one (1) year experience practicing palliative care within the last three (3) years. Minimum of one (1) year experience in teaching residents, student registered nurses, or medical students within the last three (3) years. BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities: Inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultations Goals-of-care discussions with patients and families Interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical documentation Education, teaching, and staff development Participation in rounds, meetings, and outreach initiatives
