As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order within the retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas of the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with store staff, visitors, and local authorities as required.
- Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
- Support a welcoming environment for customers while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
