Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients as part of their health routine or life-defining health decisions.
- The role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
- This position involves direct patient contact and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
- The role demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
- Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
- One year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
