Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients who visit as part of their health routine or for important health decisions.
- This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
- The role involves direct patient contact and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
- The role demonstrates leadership behaviors with a strong focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
- One year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
