We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to manage our accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting our broader financial operations. This is a direct-hire role ideal for a dedicated professional looking for a stable, long-term career in a collaborative environment. Core Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices via Sage 50, ensure timely check preparation, and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries.
- Accounts Receivable: Generate and distribute sales invoices; accurately process daily cash receipts (checks, wires, and cash).
- Reconciliations & Collections: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Manage the aging report and conduct professional collection outreach to customers.
- Payroll Support: Assist the Accounting Manager with payroll processing, specifically auditing overtime (OT) and PTO entries.
- Administrative Excellence: Maintain organized vendor filing systems and provide general office support for special company events (must be able to lift up to 10 lbs).
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is REQUIRED.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. While we will provide training on Sage 50, prior experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on professional customer service.
