Location:
Irvine, CA (In-Office) Compensation: Up to $55,000/year + Annual Bonus Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

About the Opportunity:
Join a premier manufacturer of food processing equipment based in Irvine. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to manage our accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting our broader financial operations. This is a direct-hire role ideal for a dedicated professional looking for a stable, long-term career in a collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices via Sage 50, ensure timely check preparation, and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries.
  • Accounts Receivable: Generate and distribute sales invoices; accurately process daily cash receipts (checks, wires, and cash).
  • Reconciliations & Collections: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Manage the aging report and conduct professional collection outreach to customers.
  • Payroll Support: Assist the Accounting Manager with payroll processing, specifically auditing overtime (OT) and PTO entries.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain organized vendor filing systems and provide general office support for special company events (must be able to lift up to 10 lbs).
Candidate Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is REQUIRED.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. While we will provide training on Sage 50, prior experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on professional customer service.
