Locums NP/PA Orthopedics - Colorado Springs, Colorado
(Compact License Accepted) Schedule & Availability
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Dates Needed:
  • Jan 26-30
  • Feb 23-27
  • Candidate must confirm:
  • Which shifts in January-February they can cover
  • Number of shifts per month ongoing they can offer Clinical Role & Setting
  • Inpatient, Trauma Level I Orthopedics
  • Duties: Consults, rounding, H&P, first assist (as needed, not guaranteed)
  • Support orthopedic surgeon on call
  • No resident or teaching supervision required
  • Beds: 300
  • EMR: Epic
Licenses & Certifications (Required for Credentialing)
  • AANP or ANCC Certified and/or NCCPA Certified - Required
  • Active Colorado License or Compact RN License (NURSYS report required) - Required
  • Active DEA - Required
  • Must disclose if DEA is transferable or new application
  • DEA must be retained for entire assignment duration
  • Active BLS - Highly Preferred (Must be willing to obtain before shift start)
  • First Assist Certification - Required (Must be included in presentation packet) EMR Training Requirements
  • Complete credentialing pre-application and full application to enter "applicant in training" status
  • Complete EMR training modules before attending virtual EMR training
  • Virtual EMR training must be completed at least 1 week before start date
  • Completion of EMR modules and virtual training required prior to first day Reason for Coverage
    • Coverage needed due to PAs out of office, ensuring continuous surgeon support
