Phlebotomist II

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist with experience in drawing blood from a diverse range of patients. The ideal candidate must be proficient with various needle gauges, particularly the 21 gauge, and possess exceptional customer service skills. This position requires working in a high-volume Patient Service Center (PSC).

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws on patients using 21, 22, 23, and 25 gauge needles.
  • Ensure proper specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to enhance patient experience.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques.
  • Experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with lab diagnostics and specimen processing.
  • Experience with patient service centers.
  • Knowledge of medical and diagnostic procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Asheville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
