Job Summary The senior HR manager is accountable for partnering effectively with HR management, business management, and employees to drive business results through effective management and implementation of all HR projects, initiatives, and activities in support of the assigned area of responsibility to ensure consistency of Vistra's HR policies across Vistra’s business units. This job is located in Perry, OH.
Job Description Key Roles & Responsibilities Lead Human Resources Manager responsible for daily Human Resources functions at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.
Lead expert on Collective Bargaining Agreements with Local 270 and 270PT.
Establish partnerships and maintain close relationships with business management to recognize, identify, and understand business trends, issues, goals, and needs for present and future initiatives.
Provide strategic human resource insight and guidance on organization issues and business implications related to specific projects and initiatives.
Support implementation of new or revised HR programs and policies through effective communication and training of managers and employees.
Provide ongoing consulting and support to managers in executing HR programs and policies, and in managing their employees.
Coordinate and partner with Employee Relations as needed.
Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements Four or more years of professional HR experience at high-performing organizations.
Experience supporting bargaining unit negotiations.
At least two years' experience with California workplace laws.
Experience with nuclear operations is desirable but not required.
Leadership and customer focus skills demonstrated.
Certification as SPHR or PHR is desired but not required.
Knowledge of employment law and current HR trends.
Minimum education is HS Diploma or equivalent; experience from college or certifications is applicable.
