Warehouse Dock Lead
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:00PM Location: Denver, CO 80239 Pay: $21-22/hr., Depending on Experience Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (Fast-Track to Permanent) Experience: Minimum 1 year Dock/Shipping/Logistics Experience required
Our client focuses on providing exceptional customer service through their final-mile, hot shot, and white glove delivery services, in addition to short-and-long-term storage solutions. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dock Lead to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and safe handling of inbound and outbound freight while maintaining accuracy in documentation and communication. This position requires a proactive individual who can balance operational efficiency with accuracy. The Dock Lead plays a vital role in ensuring freight is handled safely, documented correctly, and delivered on time.
Warehouse Dock Lead Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring freight is stacked securely to minimize damage.
- Sort freight by region, and stage routes for the following day.
- Log and track inbound and outbound freight inventory with precision.
- Verify house bills and customer names before end of day.
- Monitor and respond to emails, navigate company portals, and document freight damages.
- Research freight destinations and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform touch freight duties, including lifting 50 to 70 lbs. when necessary (dock assistance available).
Warehouse Dock Lead Requirements:
- Strong computer skills (email, portals, inventory logging systems).
- Forklift operation experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift 5070 lbs. when required.
- Commitment to safety in all dock operations.
