Job Summary: B&A is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support a federal government contract. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with a strong understanding of security practices, automation, and compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage cloud-native security tools and configurations to ensure secure cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
Monitor, assess, and respond to cloud security alerts and vulnerabilities using tools like CSPM, SIEM, and threat detection services.
Conduct security assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain cloud security standards, policies, and procedures aligned with best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
Support compliance and audit activities, including evidence gathering and reporting.
Assist in incident response and forensic investigations related to cloud systems.
Stay updated on emerging cloud threats and security technologies.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field. 3-5 years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in cloud security engineering.
Required Skills:
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience with security monitoring tools (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, Splunk).
Understanding of IAM, encryption, network security, and container security (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS).
Knowledge of cloud compliance and governance frameworks.
Desired Skills:
Experience in DevSecOps environments with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of zero-trust architectures and secure access technologies.
Understanding of CWPP and CSPM platforms.
Experience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, government).
Strong communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required.
