Job Description Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 Under the guidance of the Regional Plant Director, the Plant General Manager will lead a team to drive operational strategies aligned with company culture and long-term goals, aiming to exceed customer expectations. This role provides direct oversight to an assigned plant, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards, regulations, production, and waste management goals within the region. The manager will leverage strong leadership skills to ensure proper handling and treatment of all waste streams in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Leadership & Strategy Support and develop managers and supervisors through coaching, performance appraisals, and ensuring alignment with company goals and safety regulations. Make recommendations or approvals regarding salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals. Participate in recruitment and hiring of plant staff as needed. Conduct regular meetings to inform teams about current issues, procedural changes, and company developments. Oversee workforce selection, training, and development to ensure an effective, diverse team. Provide technical support and assist in training related to plant operations. Safety, Security, and Compliance Promote safety and security initiatives across the plant. Ensure daily operations meet regulatory requirements at the state, federal, and local levels. Implement, communicate, and train safety protocols and compliance measures. Address hazards or unsafe conditions promptly. Customer Experience Management Act swiftly to resolve customer issues, maintaining high service levels and business growth. Operational Excellence Drive continuous improvement in productivity and safety standards within budgetary goals. Inbound & Waste Processing Stay informed on regulations and industry standards related to inbound waste management and processing. Oversee waste processing to ensure compliance and safety. Shipping & Plant Management Supervise shipping processes, ensuring regulatory compliance. Manage plant operations, costs, facilities, and staff, ensuring safety and efficiency. Qualifications Minimum 7 years' experience in a related field, including plant management software, DoT regulations, and transportation logistics. Proven leadership experience of at least 7 years. Experience in the hazardous waste industry is required. Knowledge of applicable regulations and budget management skills. Skills Independent work ethic, effective communication, leadership, and delegation skills. Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis. Knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
