Job Description Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 Under the general guidance of the Regional Plant Director, the Plant General Manager will lead a team to drive operational strategies that align with the company’s culture and long-term goals to exceed our customers’ expectations. This individual provides oversight to an assigned plant, ensuring environmental health and safety, regulatory compliance, production, and waste management goals are met or exceeded. The Plant General Manager will ensure proper handling and treatment of all waste streams in compliance with policies and regulations. Leadership & Strategy Provide coaching and development for managers and supervisors, including performance appraisals, aligning with company goals and safety standards. Make recommendations or approvals on salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals. Support and participate in recruitment and hiring of plant employees. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate issues, changes, and developments. Oversee workforce training and development. Provide technical support and assist in developing training content. Safety, Security, and Compliance Promote safety and security initiatives. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Train staff on safety protocols and compliance measures. Address hazards or unsafe conditions promptly. Customer Experience Management Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high service levels and business growth. Operational Excellence Implement continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and safety. Waste Processing & Shipping Oversee waste processing and shipping, ensuring compliance and safety. Stay informed on industry regulations and standards. Plant Management Manage costs, facilities, supplies, and personnel effectively. Maintain facility standards and budgets. Qualifications Minimum 7 years’ experience in related field, including plant management software, DOT regulations, transportation logistics, and hazardous waste industry. Proven leadership experience of at least 7 years. Strong knowledge of regulations, budget management, and project management. Skills Independent work ethic, effective communication, leadership, and delegation skills. Proficiency in software applications and data analysis. Knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
