Software Development Test Engineer-Level II

Alcor is looking for a mid-level SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Level II to join our Agile-hybrid development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing automated tests for ASC X12 270/271 healthcare transactions and RESTful APIs, as well as a strong understanding of Agile testing practices, test planning, and strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop effective Test Strategies and detailed Test Plans to support robust, scalable testing practices. Review business requirements and software designs for testability and completeness. Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases using tools such as:
Ruby/Cucumber, Selenium/Watir, JMeter PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL Jenkins, GitHub, Docker
Build and maintain test scripts, data sets, simulators, and other automation tools. Validate and verify software functionality through unit, integration, and system-level testing. Collaborate with DevOps and developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Conduct analysis of test results and provide feedback on software quality. Support Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Participate in debugging, reviewing code, and resolving technical and process-related challenges. Contribute to the documentation of test plans, procedures, and test results using TestRail, Jira, and Confluence. Minimum Qualifications:
5–8 years of professional experience in SDET or software development roles. Hands-on experience testing ASC X12 270/271 healthcare transactions. Strong proficiency with TDD/BDD practices and frameworks. Skilled in automated testing of RESTful APIs and web applications. Familiarity with Agile/Hybrid Agile environments. Experience with relational and non-relational databases. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Familiarity with performance testing tools and practices. Exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Certifications such as: AWS Solutions Architect, ICP-ATA, ICP-TST, PSM. #J-18808-Ljbffr
