. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lutheran Life Villages (LLV) is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization that has served the community for more than 90 years. What initially started as the “Oak Street Home” has evolved into several thriving senior communities across Northeast Indiana. Today, LLV offers a broad range of services for seniors: independent senior apartments, assisted living, memory care, memory care assisted living, long-term care and short-term rehabilitation across six campuses and is home to approximately 520 residents served by 600 dedicated team members. While the world has changed in the past several decades, the mission to serve seniors in LLV’s communities has remained the same: As an expression of Christ’s love, the organization serves individuals and their caregivers with compassion and respect for independence, wellness, and spiritual life. LLV is seeking an experienced, dynamic and progressive Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the growth-oriented organization while ensuring the long-term sustainability of LLV’s mission. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and mission-driven financial leader with a passion for advancing the wellbeing of seniors through sound financial stewardship. The CFO reports to the CEO, while the Director of Finance and their subordinates report to the CFO. The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in finance or related field and/or a candidate who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). A minimum of five years in a senior leadership role with proven experience in strategic financial planning and execution, including supervisory responsibility, with ten years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management is required. Being personable, relatable and collaborative are important traits along with having strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The ability to lead with integrity, accountability, and innovation will make this person an invaluable partner in shaping the future of Lutheran Life Villages.
