Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: California state license required Certifications: BLS, NMTCB, ARRT R* Must-Have: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred. Background checks and references are required prior to employment. Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform general nuclear medicine studies. The role involves various imaging procedures and patient care responsibilities. The candidate should be experienced in administering radiopharmaceuticals and conducting scans. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Experience with adult and geriatric patient age groups is essential. The technologist will need to float between facilities within the state if required. On-call responsibilities may also be part of the role. Strong communication and teamwork skills are vital for working in an interdisciplinary environment. Candidates should be able to maintain a high standard of patient care and safety. Additional skills in handling special procedures such as cardiac imaging are preferred. BLS and NMTCB certification are required prior to starting the position. The technologist will work with various nuclear medicine equipment and technology.
