Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License: State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography is required Certifications: BLS, NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certified required; ARRT (CT) preferred Must-Have: - Experience in bone scans (whole body and 3 phase) - Experience in HIDA scans, GI Bleed - Experience in lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid imaging - Experience in thyroid uptake, renal scans with Lasix - Experience in lung scans, MUGA scans - Experience in WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests - Clienttion badge provided by the agency Description: This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The technologist will work rotating shifts with other staff. Shifts include 5x8s and rotating call 7 days a week. Weekend and holiday requirements are call only. The role requires floating between general Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology. Candidate must be open to accommodating block schedules. This is a Level II Trauma and Acute Care Hospital. The scrub color is teal top with black bottom. The charting system used is Epic. During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should be aware of potential assignments during this period. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
