*Work with Progression, Inc. get your application bumped to the front of the line* Business Development Manager Sterling, VA Fully Remote MUST: 10+ years of business development and federal sales experience. Proven experience in solution-oriented sales including data, IT platforms, software and services. Successful sales experience in one or more of the following Federal Civilian and national security entities: DOJ, State Department, HHS, Treasury, Client. Familiarity with the Federal environment including planning, budget and execution processes, and acquisition strategies. Demonstrated knowledge and skills with sales / CRM tools and reporting; i.e., GOVWIN, Salesforce, Govtribe, Highergov, FPDS, etc. Project management skills, ability to deliver quality results under pressure and to meet deadlines, must be results oriented with a drive for excellence. Exemplary organizational skills, e.g., accuracy, timeliness and detail-orientation with the ability to work well under pressure managing multiple activities and meeting established goals in a deadline-driven environment. Successful experience monitoring and evaluating personal progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations. Bachelor's degree or higher in a work-related field. Ability to pass and maintain a government background check. DUTIES: Collaborate with SMEs to develop and execute effective strategic solutions for new and existing customers aligned with federal mission requirements. Target, establish, build upon, and maintain highly effective relationships with the Government executives, Program Managers, contract management offices and industry partners that drive business growth, expand the brand and foster collaboration. Lead team efforts throughout the sales funnel beginning with opportunity identification, qualification, capture and proposal and resulting in closed new business. Effectively negotiate strategic and tactical (opportunity-based) teaming relationships with industry partners. Represent the voice of the customer in all proposals. Ensure the highest level of support to customer base by maintaining a personal presence with key accounts while continuously prospecting, penetrating, and developing new prospects. Coordinate all customer-related communications and activities with stakeholders, including meetings and conference calls. Administration Own and maintain a sustainable 18-month pipeline, providing analysis, forecasting, and strategic assessment of all opportunities to ensure alignment with corporate and portfolio growth strategy. Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasting reports to the business development team and others, as necessary. *Progression Inc. is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
