Job Summary: Seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. As an RN in the Psychiatric unit, you will provide direct and individualized care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, empathetic, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Roles and Responsibilities: Patient Assessment and Care Planning:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs to develop individualized care plans. Medication Administration and Monitoring:

Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse effects, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols. Crisis Management:

Intervene effectively in psychiatric emergencies, de-escalating situations and providing appropriate care to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaboration and Advocacy:

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to advocate for patients and ensure continuity of care. Patient and Family Education:

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment plans, and coping strategies to promote recovery and wellness. Job Requirements: Licensure:

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut. Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred. Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPI Certification required. Skills:

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment. ET_HRHC01
