Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in behavioral health or psychiatric settings

Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects

Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Implement individualized care plans focusing on safety, de-escalation, and patient well-being

Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care for patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Maintain accurate records in compliance with facility and state regulations

Support therapeutic groups and reinforce treatment plans

Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies following established protocols

Supervise and support LVNs, PCTs, or other staff members as appropriate

Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications Current, active RN license in the state of Texas

BLS certification (required); CPI or equivalent crisis intervention certification preferred

Must pass a Central Abuse Registry check prior to assignment

Minimum of 18 months of experience in behavioral health, psych, or related care setting

Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and crisis management skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, assist with mobility, and work on your feet for extended periods
