Position Summary The
General Manager – Basement Waterproofing
is responsible for leading the business unit focused on basement waterproofing services. This role drives revenue growth, ensures operational excellence, and oversees sales, installation, customer experience, and profitability. The General Manager manages cross-functional teams (sales, operations/installation, and service), implements strategic initiatives to grow market share, and maintains high quality and customer satisfaction standards in line with Erie Home’s brand and warranty commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Own full P&L responsibility for the basement waterproofing business, including revenue growth, margin performance, and cost control.
Lead, develop, and align Sales, Operations, Installation, and Service teams to drive accountability and performance.
Execute and optimize sales strategy, including lead conversion, pricing discipline, forecasting, and sales coaching to consistently exceed targets.
Oversee field operations and installation quality to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with warranty, regulatory, and industry standards.
Champion an exceptional end-to-end customer experience, from initial consultation through project completion and post-install service.
Implement scalable operational processes for scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and labor efficiency.
Analyze market trends, financial results, performance metrics, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements across all waterproofing operations.
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, HR, and Executive Leadership to support strategic initiatives and geographic expansion.
Build and sustain a performance-driven culture focused on quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, home services, waterproofing, or basement solutions
Additional 3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education
Core Competencies
Proven success leading multi-functional teams and exceeding revenue and profitability targets
Strong financial, operational, and analytical acumen, including direct P&L ownership
Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access)
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications
Experience in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, or related home improvement services
Prior business unit or general management experience with P&L responsibility
Familiarity with CRM platforms and field operations or scheduling software
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Travel Requirements
10%–25% domestic travel required
Overtime / Additional Hours Requirements
Additional or non-standard hours may be required (exempt position)

Normal office environment
Indoor work in a climate-controlled environment
Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
