Job Overview:

The EVS Shift Manager will oversee the cleanliness of the gaming facility and all Back of House areas (except for hotel rooms and kitchens). This oversight will include requirements analysis, resource acquisition, employee training, assignment and quality inspections.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Models, promotes, monitors and assures Guest safety throughout interior of Property

Models, promotes, monitors and assures workplace safety throughout department

Manages supervisors with administrative direction and control to maintain cleanliness, reliability, functionality, and efficiency of property’s interiors, both back, and front of house (except hotel rooms and kitchens)

Performs daily property inspections to ensure expectations are being met

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all special projects performed with in-house forces, including deep cleaning, high dusting, carpet and upholstery cleaning

Actively coaches, mentors and develops team members (including EVS Supervisors)

Inventories and orders departmental supplies

Creates work schedules and conducts timekeeping

Acts as “Manager on duty” in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper

Keeps staff informed of all pertinent information

Produces and maintains operational focus of department on quarterly objectives

Remains informed of continuously changing body of knowledge of EVS practices, methods, concerns for safety and trends of the industry.

Performs physical motions during standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

High School diploma or GED-

required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related Field

AND

two (2) years Supervisory experience-

required

OR

Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position-

required

OR

Three (3) years’ experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality-

required

Two (2) years of supervisor experience above at a commercial

entertainment

venue,

hotel

or

resort , or a 24x7 business that never closes-

required

Record of success in meeting objectives through directing the work of subordinates

Must participate in computer basics training course within one (1) year

Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition

Must obtain certification in lift training annually

Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals

Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals

Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work

Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours

Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas

Good writing and verbal communication skills required (skills test may be administered)

Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift

Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high-volume environment

Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.

Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required

Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required

Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Must have a non-gaming badge (or the ability to obtain and maintain a badge) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position

Base Pay

Pay range - $57,900.00 - $71,500.00 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)
