As our Payroll Accountant Specialist, you’ll ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for staff across the agency. Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum four years of payroll accounting experience
Knowledge of AP/AR, financial statements, bank reconciliations, and GAAP
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and supervisory or lead experience
As the Payroll Accountant Specialist you will:
Coordinate full-cycle payroll processing, including timecard collection, auditing, data entry, and payroll transmission
Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
Reconcile tax liabilities, GL withholding accounts, and insurance schedules
Support annual audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
Assist with payroll tax returns and deposits
Maintain payroll bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
Audit and reconcile PTO balances for accuracy
Train staff on payroll procedures and support new hires
Maintain organized payroll records and reporting schedules
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
