The Electronic Sales role is a senior-level position responsible for covering both existing and prospective accounts trading Cash Equity products. This is an origination role, but will also be focused on growth with key existing clients trading cash electronic products. Salesperson will also work with the broader franchise across Global Markets, including High Touch Cash Sales Trading, Program Trading, Prime Brokerage, Advisory and Derivatives Sales in order to grow Citi’s market share across the different product ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Originate and source new electronic trading relationships to increase breadth of clients doing business with Citi

Actively cover existing trading accounts to grow market share and overall Equities footprint

Act as primary point of contact for any/all low touch cash trading needs – working closely with Sales Trading and Execution Advisory Services team to increase mindshare

Develop, implement and drive client acquisition, coverage, and growth strategy

Develop action plans and accountability framework to ensure we achieve our growth and market share goals

Actively market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service

Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues

Develop client from acquisition to ownership of high profile institutional accounts

Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation

Lead strong governance and controls

Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services

Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you

Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

7+ years of sales experience

Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy-side community

In-depth knowledge of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals

In-depth knowledge of financial institutions asset classes and products

Proven client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge

Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the market place and market issues

Broad client relationships preferred

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Proven negotiation and persuasion skills and fluency in additional languages preferred

Must be able to obtain the following licenses: Series 7, 63

Education

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master's degree preferred
